I bought a big lot of junk g07 chassies so I know nothing about there past issues other then what you could tell with the naked eye. I picked the best looking one and installed a bob roberts deluxe kit which has a new fly back, width coil and cap kit with two new fusees as well. I thought everything went perfect until I fired it up and instantly got a little flash in the small fuse. I went to bob roberts web page and printed his tips for the go7 and going through them sure enough I actually installed one of the caps backwards that he mentions a certain john doe did its funny when I read it I said no way I was so careful and have never done that before on any of my many successful cap kit and even complete rebuilds(first g07 though) but after reading the whole page I went over every cap and found 1 installed wrong the very one he mentions. So I grabbed a new cap and fuse out of another kit and went to work, I replaced them and looked for any errors including the insulators around the transistors they were perfect. Fired it up and got the plum of smoke, pics below of what I found. Both fuses are still in tack.
