Hi everyone,
I am working on making a custom 70% approx. Bally Midway arcade cab.
I had the idea in fall of 2010, but have been too busy and been taking it slow. I finally have some time to work.
This machine is going to be simple and the bare minimum, with dimensions rounded and little art.
A problem... I haven't decided whether to make it a Ms. or a Jr. Pac-Man! Post comments.
It will be a blue cab with a black interior and black where the T-molding is supposed to be, with a custom CPO designed by me and a marquee, thanks so much artworkdoctor.com!
It will run MAME with Mala as the frontend with Windows Vista. It's a crap old Thinkpad I've had for years.
The game will have:
Ms. Pac-Man (duh!)
Ms. Pac-Man fast
Ms. Pac-Attack
Ms. Pac-Man Plus (both variations! :) )
Pac-Man
Pac-Man fast
Pac-Man (Hearts)
Pac-Man Plus
Jr. Pac-Man
If anyone has a fast Jr. Pac-Man ROM for MAME, PLEASE PM me!
Currently I have the sides, bottom, kickpanel, and the CP cut out and sanded.
I have 2 Suzo Happ buttons, but am looking for 1-3 long leafswitch buttons. Please PM me if you want to sell any, especially if they are small!
I just went to Home Depot today and got the blue paint (Glidden Evermore Satin Rhapsody), L brackets to hold the cab together, metal L brackets to hold the marquee on (3/4"x1/2"), black gloss paint for the brackets, black semi-gloss paint for the fake T-molding and interior, a new grinding wheel, primer, some extra wood, foam rollers, and I think something else. :P
The problem with getting sideart (other than being so darn expensive) is while cutting, it cut off the line so most of the curve is improv, so it wouldn't fit.
Pics coming soon!
Darnit! Should I make a Ms. Pac or Jr. Pac?
