Living in a town that used to make stuff is cool sometimes. I live in machesney park il and arachnid was based in loves park/rockford il(like 3 miles away).. I love it when stuff like this reminds me of the good old days..

I found an arachnid dartboard by the side of the road last night. Its a home use, wall mount, big square bastard. Its made from like a presswood material. Home use(no coin mech) it appears to use the very same single bull darthead that arachnid used for years. It shows a model number of ad2000 and a serial number of 000656.Stickers inside show copyright arachnid 1986. From what i remember the true ad2000 was a large coin op bar machine right??? Weird.. Anyways...

I found this machine to have the ac adapter cut off. Upon disassambly of the main pcb both 5 volt regulators are cooked.. Someone mustve used too large of a power supply or something..

The regulators are lm340t5 (from what i can tell, they are pretty charred)

I found these at rat shack, think they will work??? http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2062599

And one last question: Does anyone know what voltage/amperage ac adapter these machines used originally?? Im guessing somewhere between 6 and 12 volts but it would be nice to know for sure.
