Let me explain,

I had been following, with great interest, the interest thread “Official: Asteroids & Lunar Lander Repro CP Interest thread” (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=184155) since last year and When the FS thread (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=220083) was started in January of this year, I jumped in, ordering and paying for a CP and 2 CPOs. I happily read the thread as it progressed, without issue. A few days ago, I when to read the thread and it was no longer listed in my subscribed threads, even though it had been, and searching for it returned no results. I remembered Takeman’s link on the last page of the interest thread and went there. When I tried to follow the link, I received an “xsysceo, you do not have permission to access this page…” message. I posted in the interest post and was told that the thread had been moved to a place where only people who have been members for more than 1 year and had more than 30 posts could access it and to pm a moderator (Thanks for the help Tron Guy). I found a moderator online (Tombo) and pm’d him. I explained the situation to him and he told me that I had to have at least 100 posts to see the thread and I should thank the spammer for it.

I just want to say that this sucks (period)

I am not a “new” media guy, I don’t do facebook, twitter, etc. I lurked in the newsgroups for years with only dialup access, and didn’t make the jump to klov until two years ago. I don’t have a lot to say, and usually, by the time I get to read a thread, anything useful has already been said, so consequentially I don’t have many posts. So now, I guess I need to add 70 or so meaningless posts, adding useless random noise to threads, just so I can hit some arbitrary number, so I can see a thread I used to be able to see and have a vested interest in because I purchase stuff in it. You tell me, what’s wrong with this picture

Steve
