OK, I've got two Nintendo cabs next to one another.
I want to (quickly) see which monitor is better, using the same game, without having to fully swap out boards.
The white video cable that's currently going from Sanyo A to Board A can reach the video header on Board B in the other cabinet. So I'm tempted.
I want to disconnect Sanyo A's video from Board A, then Sanyo B's video from Board B, then plug Sanyo A's video into Board B, then turn on both cabs.
Am I at risk of killing something by running the video cable like this, given that Sanyo A and Board B will be connected to one another, but to different power supplies?
(I have disconnected the audio cable from both boards)
It seems to me like this *should* be okay, since I'm just using an "alternate video source" for Board B, but you never know and I'd like to get opinions, preferably from someone who has actually done this. I can't possibly be the first person to ever do this (or even the first person this month).
